(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call at a residence on Swamp Hollow Road, Hilliard Township on July 24, 2016 at approximately 4:40 p.m. involving an altercation that had taken place.
A 46 year old female suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported by the Englehart Ambulance Service to the hospital for medical care.
David CARLTON, 32, of Hilliard Township is in custody and charged with Attempt to Commit Murder – section 239(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on July 27, 2016.
The Temiskaming Crime Unit and North Bay Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of Detective Inspector Jim Gorry of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch will be continuing the investigation.
