(SEVERN, ON) – On Monday July 25, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision between a car and a cyclist.
The incident occurred on Telford Line in Severn Township. Severn Fire and Paramedics also attended the scene.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) also attended the scene to assist with the investigation. Telford Line was closed for several hours but is now open.
The male cyclist was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the car is cooperating with police.
The investigation is continuing, more details to follow when they become available.
