Nancy LEACH – Breach, Cause Disturbance, Threats

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a female recently with numerous offences as a result of a disturbance in downtown Collingwood.

On July 23 2016 shortly before 3:00am, an officer on patrols was on Pine Street near Second Street when he observed a female yell obscenities directed at police. Upon approaching the female, it was found that she was under the influence of alcohol and continued yelling obscenities at the officer. The female was arrested and after a short struggle, was taken to Collingwood detachment where she continued her disruptive behavior and proceeded to threaten and assaulted an officer while being processed.

Charged is 46 year-old Nancy LEACH of Wasaga Beach, she is facing charges of causing a disturbance, resist peace officer, mischief, fail to comply with probation order, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and assault a peace officer. She was held for bail court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
