(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision at a Robinson Road, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Monday, August 1, 2016 at approximately 10:24 p.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to Robinson Road for a collision involving a motor vehicle and an off-road vehicle.
Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that a silver coloured Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), was being operated by a 28-year-old female of Haldimand County, Ontario and was travelling southbound on Robinson Road. An off-road vehicle was being operated by a 44-year-old male of Haldimand County, Ontario and was travelling northbound on Robinson Road when both vehicles collided head-on.
As a result, the driver was ejected from the off-road vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Robinson Road is currently closed between Stringer Road and Bartlett Road to allow for further investigation.
The investigation is continuing.
