(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 6, 2016 at approximately 12:15 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Highway 6 and Wellington Road 7, Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Two men in a 2008 Subaru spoke with officers and suspected cocaine was observed. Arrests were made and more suspected cocaine was located during a search of the vehicle. A pellet gun was also located in a bag with the passenger and brass knuckles. The investigation also revealed that the passenger was on court order and had breached a condition.
22-year-old Broadie JOLLEY of Georgian Bluffs Township has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 13, 2016.
22-year-old Corrie RUSSWURM of Owen Sound has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held for Bail Court.
