(Roslin, ON) – Central Hastings OPP, fire and paramedics attended a two vehicle collision at 7:30am 16 August 2016.
A red Honda Civic was westbound on Shannonville Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. It entered onto Highway 37 and collided with a southbound dump truck.
The passenger of the Honda Civic had to be extricated from the car. A 21 year old female passenger from the Picton area was taken to Kingston General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries and did not need to go to the hospital.
The driver of the dump truck, a 45 year old Tweed man was transported to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries.
The Highway 37 was closed for approximately 3 hours and traffic was detoured through Roslin.
Investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
