(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – On August 18th, 2016 at approximately 12:05pm a public complaint was received by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) of a vehicle all over the road, on County Road 36 in Verulam Township.
After an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, 71 year old Joseph PERDUE of Emily Township was found to have been drinking alcohol and was arrested and charged with:
Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada, Driving while ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the CCC, and Resist Peace Officer contrary to section 129(a) of the CCC.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on September 15, 2016.
