(MUICIPALITY OF BLUEWATER, ON) – At 4 a.m. Monday August 22, 2016, a resident living on Centennial Road, South of Brucefield, heard a vehicle leave his rural property. He proceeded to check his vehicles as well as outbuilding and discovered that one of their vehicles had been stolen. Further investigation revealed that his shed had been entered and a number of long guns and crossbows had been taken. Other vehicles on the property had been entered and rummaged through.
The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted and officers initiated an investigation. Huron County OPP Crime Unit officers as well as West Region Forensic Identification officers attended. They are continuing their investigation into this theft.

A grey 2008 Jeep Liberty with Ontario Licence plates CAEW823
Stolen Firearms:
Browning BPS Shotgun 20 gauge
Massberg 538 – 12 gauge Shotgun
22 Coey Shotgun
Stolen Crossbows:
Excalibur Crossbow
Horton 335 Crossbow
