Bradley BELL – Drunk Driving

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On August 18, 2016, at 1:18 a.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) spot checks on Highway 124 in McDougall Township. A vehicle was checked for the R.I.D.E. spot check, and the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Bradley BELL, 26 years of age from Hamilton was arrested and charged with:

· Driving while ability Impaired – motor vehicle (Alcohol) contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).

· Driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood contrary to the CC.

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on September 1, 2016 to answer to his charges. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days.

The OPP are reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
