(ESPANOLA, ON)- On August 22, 2016, at approximately 3:15 p.m., members from the Espanola Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Lee Valley Road, in the township of Sables-Spanish Rivers.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the male driver was operating a vehicle without insurance.
Dekker FORSYTHE, 18 years of age, from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, was charged with the following:
Use plate not authorized for vehicle, contrary to section 12(1)(d) of the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner, contrary to section 11(2) of the Highway Act
Fail to notify change of address – licence, contrary to section 33(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
Use validation not furnished for vehicle, contrary to section 12(1)(e) of the Highway Traffic Act
Operate motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola, on October 13, 2016.
