One person still critical in hospital, 21 year old male identified 2016-08-31
(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Fire Marshal is now investigating the cause of a house fire in Dorchester that took the life of 21 year old, Ryan Parsons of Thames Centre, ON. Currently, there is still a 19 year old female listed in critical condition at hospital. Another 19 year old male has been released from hospital with minor injuries.
Middlesex County OPP will continue to investigate the death of the 21 year old male. At this time the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Middlesex County OPP responded to a house fire call around 6:00pm at 151 Oakwood Drive in Dorchester, ON. The Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department attended the scene and contained the fire. Three people were in the residence during the time of the fire. One person was able to get out on their own. The Dorchester Fire-Rescue was able to get two other people from out of the burning home.
The Middlesex-London EMS transported two people to hospital. One person with life threatening injuries and another with non-life threatening injuries. A 21 year old male was listed as vital sign absent and as such the coroner is on their way to this fire scene.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown. The county fire investigator is on route and it is expected that the Ontario Fire Marshall will be contacted to further investigate the cause of the fire.
Next of kin notification is currently being conducted.
The public can expect fire and police presence in the area of Oakwood and Chittick Crescent in Dorchester, ON until further notice.
