(WAWA, ON) – On Tuesday August 30, 2016 at approximately 4:30 am members of the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Goudreau Road, Dunphy Township located approximately 5 kilometres South of Highway 519.
Investigation revealed that a pick up truck with 3 occupants was travelling on the Goudreau road when the driver lost control and became involved in the collision.
Two passengers were sent to the Lady Dunn hospital in Wawa with serious and undetermined injuries, the driver did not sustain any injuries. The investigation revealed that alcohol was a factor in this collision.
OPP were assisted by Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, a Traffic Reconstructionist and the Emergency Medical Services.
As a result Scott Allen WILSON (47) of Dubreuilville Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences;
Adult Driving while Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm (motor vehicle-alcohol) contrary to section 255(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada,
Adult Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm contrary to section 249(3) of the C.C.C,
Adult Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm contrary to section 221 of the C.C.C,
Adult Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent contrary to section 335(1) of the C.C.C
The accused was held in custody for bail hearing in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.
