(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Grey County OPP Crime Unit, have charged three Windsor area people with multiple criminal offences following a crime spree.
On August 27, 2016, Grey County OPP attended Cobble Beach on Church Sideroad East in the Township of Georgian Bluffs after extensive damage, estimated between $15,000 – $20,000, was done to the property.
On August 28, 2016, Grey County OPP received multiple stolen vehicle reports from various residences in the Cobble Beach and Balmy Beach area. The stolen vehicles included two ATVs (2014 Can-Am Outlander and a 2004 Suzuki L40), a 2013 GMC Sierra pick-up truck, a 2006 Chevrolet Express passenger van, and a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 pick-up truck.
On August 29, 2016, Grey County OPP received a report of a 1991 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel pick-up truck from a residence on Hwy. 6 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. While investigating the theft a resident had sighted the stolen ATVs in the vicinity of Alexandria Street and immediately alerted police. Police set up a containment of the area and extensive foot and ATV patrols were conducted. With the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit, at approximately 2:37 p.m. a male suspect was arrested on the Keppel-Sarawak Townline.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., a female and another male suspect were located and arrested inside a residence on Church Sideroad East after unlawfully gaining entry in an effort to evade police.
All six stolen vehicles were recovered.
All three accused remain in custody pending a video bail scheduled for September 7, 2016.
36-year old Scott Andrew KIMBALL is charged with the following offences:
– Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000 (x6)
– Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
– Breach of Probation
25-year old Amanda Melissa MCCONNELL is charged with the following offences:
– Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000 (x6)
– Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
– Break and Enter to a Dwelling House
24-year old Jordan Lynn MCCONNEL is charged with the following offences:
– Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000 (x6)
– Break and Enter to a Dwelling House
Additional charges are pending.
