Jerry ABRAMS – Impaired Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 5, 2016, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver. At approximately 10:29 p.m., officers located the motor vehicle stationary on Dundas Street, near Shaw Road.

Officers determined that the male driver of the blue Triumph car had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, 57-year-old Jerry ABRAMS, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol and drug), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on October 10, 2016.
