(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 50-year-old male with a drinking and driving offence following an investigation into a traffic complaint that occurred at a Highway 3, Cayuga, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Monday September 5, 2016, at approximately 10:44 p.m., OPP responded to the area of Highway 3 for a traffic complaint that was reported by a concerned citizen.
OPP located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the male drivers, the officer noticed signs of impairment by alcohol and arrested the driver.
OPP has charged 50-year-old James BARBER of Stoney Creek, Ontario with driving over the legal limit.
He is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.
