James BURKE – Trafficking Drugs

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 22-year-old male with drug offences following an investigation at an Argyle Street North, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Saturday September 3, 2016, at approximately 3:15 a.m., OPP were conducting patrols of the area when a male occupying the driver’s seat of a parked motor vehicle, attracted the officer’s attention. Officer’s spoke with the male to check on his wellbeing and while speaking with the male, a quantity of a controlled substance was in plain view inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and additional quantities of controlled substances were located.

OPP investigated and, as a result, has charged 22-year-old James BURKE of Caledonia, Ontario with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
