Barrie OPP Weekend Update

(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the weekend, the Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 52 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Oro Medonte Township. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.

There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, landlord/tenant disputes, domestic disputes, motor vehicle collisions, stolen vehicles, traffic complaints and impaired drivers.

On September 9, 2016 at approximately 12:11 a.m., officers from the Barrie OPP conducted a traffic stop on Penetanguishene Road in Oro-Medonte Township. After further investigation the driver of the vehicle was arrested after failing a road side breath test.

Kimber JAMIESON, 49 years old of Barrie, has been charged with Driving with Over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Collingwood Criminal Court on September 27, 2016.
