(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On September 11, 2016 at approximately 12:56 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle that was un-plated at a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program conducted on the Southgate-Glenelg Townline at Concession 2 in the Township of Southgate.
The lone driver of the 1994 Chevrolet pick-up truck, 39-year old Alexander Melvin TROUP, of the Township of Southgate was charged with several offences: driving under suspension (x2); driving a motor vehicle – no plates; operating a motor vehicle – no insurance; and fail to apply for permit on becoming owner.
He is scheduled to appear in court on October 17, 2016 in Owen Sound.
