(WAWA, ON) – On Saturday September 17, 2016 at approximately 10:30 pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a local residence regarding a family dispute. Preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute had ensued regarding a previously unreported incident. Victim and witnesses were interviewed.
As a result a 38 years old Wawa man was arrested and charged with the following offences;
Adult Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age contrary to section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada,
Adult Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the CCC,
Two counts of Adult Assault contrary to section 266 of the CCC,
Adult Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CCC.
The accused was held into custody for bail hearing.
