(MALAHIDE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a mobile trailer fire call around 6:30 a.m., on September 20th, 2016 in Port Bruce, Ontario. Malahide Fire department attended the scene and contained the fire to the lone trailer. The fire occurred at the Bee Lin Trailer Park located at 49508 Dexter Line. A 50-year-old male was found deceased by the trailer.
The Elgin County OPP Crime unit is investigating the death of the individual. A coroner attended the scene and ordered a post mortem for tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
The Ontario Fire Marshall has also been called to the scene and will be investigating the cause of the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Two nearby trailers sustained minor fire damage. No other injuries were reported.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
