(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 20-year-old male with stunt driving following a traffic stop at a Kohler Road, Cayuga, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday September 20, 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m., OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of Kohler Road when they noticed a vehicle travelling over 50 km/hour above the posted speed limit. OPP stopped the vehicle and arrested the male driver.
OPP has charged 20-year-old Jake POLIQUIN of Fisherville, Ontario with stunt driving under The Highway Traffic Act.
The vehicle was towed and is impounded for seven days and the driver had his licence suspended for seven days.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.
