(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Crime Unit along with the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT), have arrested and charged a female and male after executing a search warrant at a Highway 59, South Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, members of the OPP attended a Highway 59 address and executed a search warrant.
During the course of the search warrant, police recovered a firearm along with ammunition and a quantity of illicit drugs, Canadian and American currency.
As a result, a 40-year-old female and a 46-year-old male were taken into custody without incident.
Charged with possession of Marihuana is 40-year-old Maria KNELSEN of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Charged with the following offences is 46-year-old Arnold Gunther KNELSEN of Norfolk County, Ontario:
Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
Unauthorized possession of firearm
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Breach of firearms regulations
Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
