(North Glengarry) – On September 20, 2016 at approximately 6:50pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on patrol observed suspicious activity at a residence on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation resulted in the recovery of a quantity of stolen items from a break-in reported on September 11, 2016 at a property on Lochiel Street in Alexandria. A push lawnmower, fishing gear, hand and power tools had been taken at the time.
Stephane BRASSARD (44) and Rebecca LACOMBE (39), both of North Glengarry Township were arrested and each charged with;
– Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
BRASSARD faces an additional charge of;
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. LACOMBE was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria Court on October 12, 2016.
