(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On August 6, 2016, the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced an investigation related to an incident involving a side-by-side off road vehicle. (ORV)
Investigation determined that on July 25, 2016, a Side-By-Side Off Road Vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent. The Side-By-Side was subsequently involved in a collision in the area of Orrville. There were no injuries sustained in the collision.
As a result of the investigation, Edward COLLINS JR, 66 years of age from Seguin Township has been charged with:
Take motor vehicle without consent, contrary to section 335(1) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Fail to report accident, contrary to section 199(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 1, 2016 to answer to his charges.
