(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – At approximately 9:52 am, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, a member of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Traffic Enforcement Unit, was monitoring traffic speeds on the 10th Sideroad, between the 5th and 6th Concession of the Town of New Tecumseth.
The officer was alerted to a southbound dump truck being driven at an excessive speed. The driver of the vehicle, Barinder Pal Si RANDHAWA, ager 27. Of Surrey, BC, has been charged with travelling 108 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone. The driver was also warned regarding Stunt Driving. Had the driver been travelling an additional 2 km/hr. the vehicle would have been seized and the driver’s privilege to drive, suspended for a period of 7 days.
He was issued and Provincial Offences Notice.
