Calvin COOK – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On October 9, 2016 at approximately 11:03 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2010 Dodge Ram pick-up truck on Hwy. 6 & 10 at Sunny Valley Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs after receiving a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver.

While speaking with the lone driver, police observed several cans of beer, two of which were full, behind the driver’s seat. It was determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

After failing a roadside breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which he failed.

Calvin COOK, age 53, of the Township of Chatsworth, was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on November 17, 2016.
