(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 29-year-old female with multiple offences following a traffic stop at a Highway 6, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday October 12, 2016 at approximately 1:00 a.m., OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of Highway 6 and Unity Road when they noticed a vehicle travelling over 50 km/hour above the posted speed limit.
OPP stopped the vehicle and conducted an investigation.
OPP has charged 29-year-old Victoria BUTLER of Burlington, Ontario with the following offences:
Stunt driving,
Drive motor vehicle while under suspension,
Plates not authorized for motor vehicle,
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle, and
Operate motor vehicle without insurance.
The vehicle was towed and is impounded for seven days.
She is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
“Preventable driving behaviours such as this are one of the leading causes of collisions on Ontario roadways which result in injuries and in some cases death.
