(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 20-year-old male with stunt driving following a traffic stop at a Selkirk, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Friday October 14, 2016 at approximately 8:56 p.m., OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of Rainham Road when they noticed a vehicle travelling over two and half times above the posted speed limit.
OPP stopped the vehicle and conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrest of the driver.
OPP has charged 20-year-old Austin ROGERS of Selkirk, Ontario with stunt driving. He was also charged with failing to surrender a drivers licence.
His driver’s licence was immediately suspended for seven days.
The vehicle was towed and is impounded for seven days.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.
