During the week of the 11 October 2016, to the 17 October 2016, there were 88 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.
There were twelve motor vehicle collisions, four were animal related.
There were two domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 11 October 2016, to the 17 October 2016. There were no domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.
Arrest Made in Break and Enters to Landfill Sites
The Killaloe OPP has made an arrest in the recent entries and reported thefts at local area landfill sites. On the 11 October 2016, police located and arrested 26 yr. old Justin MCMAHON, of Bonnechere Valley Twp. The accused has been charged with Break and Enter, x 2 section 348(1) (b), and Theft Under $5000 x 3 section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused appeared in bail court, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke, and was released on a Recognizance Order with numerous conditions.
Collisions
On the 12 October 2016 at approximately 9:33 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Brandon Cassibo received a call of a two vehicle collision on Pine Cliff Road, Madawaska Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, 58 yr. old Pamela RUTLEDGE of Madawaska Valley Twp. has been charged with Turn Not in Safety section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a provincial offence act notice. Both vehicles were towed. There were no reported injuries.
On the 15 October 2016 at approximately 5: 22 p.m., Killaloe Constable Barry Nisbet received a call of a single vehicle collision rollover, on Highway # 60 in Algonquin Provincial Park. As a result of police investigation, 20 yr. old Runjia HAO of Toronto has been charged with Careless Driving section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a provincial offence act notice. The vehicle was towed. There were no reported injuries
On the 15 October 2016 at approximately 5: 51 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Julie McPeak received a call of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Buelow Road, Bonnechere Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, 52 yr. old Dean TAYLOR of Ottawa has been charged with Unsafe Move, Lane or Shoulder, section 154(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a provincial offence act notice. There were minor injuries reported.
Theft
On the 14 October 2016 at approximately 1:18 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jon Anderson received a theft call for service on Wakerobin Lane, North, Algona, and Wilberforce Twp. A boat motor had been stolen. This investigation is continuing.
On the 17 October 2016 at approximately 10:16 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jeff Turnbull received a break and enter call for service on Henry Street, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. A garage had been entered and various tools were stolen. This incident remains under investigation.
