(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On October 20, 2016 at approximately 11:27am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a loud bang outside of Ernest Cumberland School in Alliston.
Precautionary measures were taken by the school and issued a hold and secure protocol immediately. The Nottawasaga OPP attended and located the remains of a discharged firework outside in the playground. Police determined that there was no threat of safety to the staff and students and the hold and secure was lifted.
Suspects are unknown at this time and Police are continuing to investigate.
