Drunk Driver Arrested After Hitting Hydro Pole

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON)– Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle striking a hydro pole on Biggars Lane October 26 2016 at approximately 9:00 p.m.

County of Brant OPP responded along with County of Brant Fire and County of Brant Ambulance Service.

Police determined through investigation that the involved vehicle a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox had lost control and struck a hydro pole just north of Wetmores Road.

OPP investigators have charged 64-year-old Larry MULLIGAN of the City of Brantford with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

Driving with More than 80 mgs, of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b)

Driving While Ability Impaired, contrary to Section 253(1)(a)

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
