(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On November 6, 2016 at approximately 5:50 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers were called to an apartment on Main Street West, Palmerston. A man was entering an apartment and was assaulted by a man who resided in the building. Another man who resided in the building arrived to assist his friend that was assaulted and a physical altercation took place leading him to being assaulted with an unknown sharp object. He was treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
58-year-old William DAVIS of Palmerston has been charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Assault cause Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code. He attended Guelph Bail Court on November 7, 2016.
