(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 26-year-old male with stunt driving following a traffic stop at a Highway 6, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Thursday November 17, 2016 at approximately 1:15 a.m., OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of Highway 6 and Unity Road when they noticed a vehicle travelling 2 ½ times above the posted speed limit.
OPP stopped the vehicle, investigated, and arrested the male driver.
OPP has charged 26-year-old Eliseo RAMIREZ-JANDRES of Cayuga, Ontario with stunt driving under The Highway Traffic Act.
The vehicle was towed and is impounded for seven days.
The driver had his licence suspended for seven days.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.
