(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged three people for Impaired Driving offences over the weekend.
On Saturday, December 3, 2016 shortly after midnight, members of the Kenora OPP conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 17 in the east end of the City of Kenora. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and after he failed the Approved Screening Device, he was arrested at the scene. He was transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, 56 year old Larry DALE of Winnipeg has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).
He is to appear in Kenora Court on January 5, 2017 to answer to the charges.
On Sunday, December 4, 2016 shortly after midnight, police conducted a vehicle stop on a pick-up truck in the Lakeside area of the City of Kenora. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested at the scene. He was transported to detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, 39 year old Kurtis KING of Kenora has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) CC, and Driving While Ability Impaired-motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on January 26, 2017 to answer to the charges.
On Sunday, December 4, 2016 at approximately 7:55 pm, police conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 658, north of the Kenora By-pass. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and he was arrested and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 28 year old Evan ONYSKO of Kenora has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired-motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) CC and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample section 254.
He has been held in custody for a bail hearing on December 5, 2016.
