(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged an 18-year-old male with multiple criminal offences after investigating a disturbance at a George Street, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Saturday December 10, 2016, at approximately 9:59 a.m., OPP responded to George Street for a disturbance where it was reported that several people were involved in an argument outside of a residence complex. It was further reported that weapons were seen during the altercation.
OPP attended and spoke with witnesses who identified the people involved.
One male sustained minor injuries and was treated by Haldimand County Paramedics at the scene.
OPP investigation has determined that two males were involved in a verbal dispute when several more people arrived to intervene. One of the males produced a weapon causing injury to the male victim. The male suspect was located by OPP a short time later and arrested without incident.
The weapon was located and seized by OPP.
OPP has charged 18-year-old Tyler CAISSIE of Dunnville, Ontario with:
Assault with a Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
He was held for a bail hearing in Provincial Court in Cayuga.
