(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On December 13, 2016 at 3:53 a.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Grieg Settlement Road and Quarry Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Police attended the scene with members from the South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department, Bruce County Emergency Medical Services and Hydro One. A single motor vehicle was travelling north bound on Quarry Road and had collided with a hydro pole on Grieg Settlement Road, on the north side of the intersection. The vehicle was destroyed by fire. The hydro pole, as a result of the collision, was bent and subsequently damaged by the fire. No one was treated for injuries as a result of the collision.
Grieg Settlement Road and Quarry road remain closed until approximately noon today. Police will advise when the roads will re-open. Motorists are requested to take alternate routes around the collision scene.
