Six police cruisers showed up when someone snitched on an area teenager that was out for a walk to get some exercise during this “lockdown”. OPP warned that “exercise is not an essential reason to leave your house” and gave one of our area’s children a ticket. It seems the reason the OPP over-reacted is the teen was carrying a “Back To School” sign on her solo walk which put zero people at risk.
What would have happened if her “Back To School” comment was on a t-shirt instead of a large piece of paper? Would six police cruisers have shown up?
Are you brave enough to carry a sign or wear a t-shirt with “Back To School” on it when you go for a walk? Do you now realize we have fallen into fascism?

Um, the OPP do not swear a oath. But I do agree this cop went way to far, all she was doing was going for a walk. BTW what city did this happen in, does anyone know.And I am surprised that this was a older cop, they are usually more mellow and not on a power trip like the younger cops, anyway I hope he gets a repremand and some time off, but of course he will still be paid, which is another issue alltogether.

Move to Albert st in Exeter where no one is listening to the lock down. No masks people visit people. Construction going on with people who don’t live in the houses. Kids playing with other kids with no masks on. People walking around all hours.

Police swarm? Who taught you how to make a headline? Camera angle only tells part of the story. First if she was holding a sign that said back to school, should she not be in school, she is a student, and it was a weekday (Friday). Second, she was protesting with 5 other people, none of which had masks, and all of which who were also issued tickets. One of the other individuals was her mother! She advertised earlier on her Instagram page to “come on out, to protest the lockdown”. So the police rightly could assume that others would be attending, which they did later on in the day! Gaslighting headlines is not how you do journalism. And nothing about this article is factually correct.
That young lady is expressing her right to freedom of speech and freedom to protest. You don’t have to wear masks outside and it’s none of your business why she wasn’t in school. That girl is paving the way for all the other kids who will come after her. She is standing up for what she believes in and I wish I had been there to stand with her. Their are massive protests and rallies all over Ontario right now because people are not choking down this nonsense any longer. Five students show up to make a stand and they are charged? What a joke. It’ll never stand up in court anyhow.
