God, Karma or Newton — Community Divided on What “Knocked Out” Deputy Reeve

(Wingham, North Huron, ON) On February 17, 2026, North Huron Deputy Reeve Kevin Falconer was caught on video allegedly grabbing the groin of a senior citizen. In the footage, the victim can be heard shouting, “You grabbed my nuts, you son of a b*tch!”

After the victim reportedly rolled off his alleged attacker, Falconer cried out, “Call the police, call the police—oh my arm, oh my arm,” sounding, to some observers, like a schoolchild desperate for attention.

Act of God or Hand of God?

Falconer then stood up and appeared intent on advancing again toward the same individual. According to several witnesses, the streetlights flickered at that exact moment. Some now claim what happened next was divine intervention—what they describe as the “Hand of God” stopping Falconer’s advance, knocking him to the ground and keeping him there until police arrived. One witeness stated “Explain the difference between an act of God and the Hand of God, to me they are the same thing.”

Others see it differently.

Some believe it was karma—arguing that the Deputy Reeve’s alleged actions caught up with him in that moment, bringing his aggression to an abrupt end.

And a more skeptical group points to simple physics. Power has reportedly been flickering in that area for months, making the timing coincidental. They argue Falconer’s balance may have been off as he moved forward, his center of gravity shifting until he lost footing and fell forward onto the asphalt.

Whatever the cause, the incident has left the community sharply divided—not just over what happened in those few seconds, but over what it all means.
