(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving two recent convenience store robberies and identifying the male suspect.
On February 11, 2014, at approximately 10:20pm, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 300 block of McArthur Avenue. The suspect placed a large duffel bag on the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect then produced a knife. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes. There were no injuries.
On February 12, 2014, at approximately 9:30pm, the same suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 5900 block of Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard. The suspect, carrying a knife, placed a duffel bag on the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes.There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 6’0â€Â-6’2†(183-188cm), medium-muscular build, English speaking with an accent. The suspect was wearing a distinctive winter coat that has “PP†on the left chest area, “PL 1978†on one sleeve, and “Pelle Pelle†on both sleeves. The suspect was masked.
