YouTube Video Of Robbery Released

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving two recent convenience store robberies and identifying the male suspect.

On February 11, 2014, at approximately 10:20pm, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 300 block of McArthur Avenue. The suspect placed a large duffel bag on the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect then produced a knife. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes. There were no injuries.

On February 12, 2014, at approximately 9:30pm, the same suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 5900 block of Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard. The suspect, carrying a knife, placed a duffel bag on the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes.There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 6’0”-6’2” (183-188cm), medium-muscular build, English speaking with an accent. The suspect was wearing a distinctive winter coat that has “PP” on the left chest area, “PL 1978” on one sleeve, and “Pelle Pelle” on both sleeves. The suspect was masked.
