The Chatham-Kent police have charged a male youth following two mischief complaints in Erieau.
On July 30, 2013 shortly after 1:00 a.m. police responded to a mischief complaint on Mariners Road. At this time, officers observed that unknown suspect(s) had thrown rocks and broken two windows and a glass door.
On this same date just before 11:00 p.m. police responded to a second mischief complaint at the same address. Again rocks were thrown and another glass door was broken. Through investigation and with the assistance of vigilant citizens, officers were able to identify and locate the youths responsible.
A 17-year-old Chatham youth has been charged with two counts of mischief. He was released pending a future court.
A 16-year-old Chatham youth and 17-year-old Chatham youth were also deemed to have been responsible. They were recommended to the Youth Diversion Program as they were first time offenders.
