(Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh, ON) On July 7, 2010 at approximately noon, a Huron OPP officer was patrolling on Amberley Road east of Lucknow when an ATV was observed turning onto Amberley Road from a side road. The officer stopped the vehicle and found that the driver was a 14 year old Lucknow area youth. The young man produced all the necessary vehicle documents but was unable to produce a driver’s licence as he was only 14. The youth’s father attended the scene to remove the ATV and the male was served with a summons to attend court for Drive No Licence.
Parents are urged to become educated in the dangers of ATV’s, especially when being operated by young persons, and ensure that any riding is done in a safe and legal location. LP10179191
