Youth Center Break In

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday morning September 28, 2010, Perth County OPP officers were called to the old Mitchell Public School on Rowland St. in Mitchell where a break-in was discovered.

The school which is currently being used by the COPE program (Cooperative Opportunities Providing Education), and the West Perth Youth Centre was entered sometime between the early hours of Friday September 24, 2010 and 10 a.m. on Tuesday September 28th. 2010. Entry to the school was gained by the door adjacent to the parking-lot on the east side of the building. The only area entered was the lower section of the building which contains the gym and staff room area.

A number items belonging to the Youth Centre were stolen, they included; a Play Station 2, two controllers, two X-Box controllers, one Nintendo game cube with two silver controllers, a Nintendo wii, four controllers, 3 nu chucks (game hand controllers), one rechargeable stand, four rechargeable battery stands (off white in colour). Numerous miscellaneous computer games are also missing.
