(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On April 25, 2017 at approximately 10:24 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault that had occurred at the Bluewater Youth and Adult Services facility located on Sideroad 6 in the Township of Chatsworth.
The victim, a 15 year old male resident, was assaulted by a 17 year old resident following a verbal altercation. The victim suffered a minor injury as a result of the assault. When the victim retreated to his room, the older male followed with a utility knife in his possession.
The accused, who can’t be identified, was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment where he was held pending a bail hearing scheduled for today, April 26. He is charged with assault, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and two counts of fail to comply with sentence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
