(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) On Saturday May 4, 2013 at approximately 11:45pm the County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report from a female residing in rural Centre Wellington Township, that she awoke to find an unknown person in her residence, and the unknown subject fled the scene quickly.
The person involved is described as unknown gender, or race, approximately 5’10 and between 180lbs to 200lbs. The person was wearing dark clothing and a dark hoodie that was pulled tight around the face. The hoodie had gold embroidery on the back.
The Wellington County OPP K-9 unit and the Emergency Response Team attended the scene and had negative results in locating the person involved.
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit is involved with this investigation and continues to investigate.
The OPP would like to remind residents to ensure they lock the doors to their homes at all times.
