Woman Smashes Window And Attempts To Break Tree After Calls Not Returned

On Saturday, April 2nd at approximately 2:00 p.m. officers attended an east side residence after a man’s ex-wife arrived to confront him for failing to return her phone calls. They had been married for several years, however, their pairing deteriorated a few years ago.

When the male chose to ignore the confrontation, her conduct became more dynamic. After refusing her entrance into his home, she attempted to snap a 12 foot tree in the front yard before punching her fist through a pane of glass on the door, gaining entry into the garage. When departing, she is reported to have swung the door so hard that the door’s trim broke and wedged the door shut.

She was located a short time later at her residence and taken into custody for mischief. She remains detained at Owen Sound Police Services to await a remand hearing on Sunday morning. The male was uninjured during the event. The 46-year old accused suffered a minor cut from the broken window, and did not require medical attention.
