On January 31st, 2016, at 12:30 a.m., a disturbance occurred in a commercial lot on Victoria Street North in the city of Kitchener. The disturbance was as a result of two Cambridge men who attempted to rob a female in her vehicle. The robbery was not successful however, the passenger in the vehicle was physically assaulted. The passenger received medical attention for their injuries. As a result of the investigation, police have charged Steven Johnson, 25 and Michael Ozon-Figueiredo, 21 with robbery. Johnson also faces other criminal charges as a result of the incident. The two are to appear in court on February 3, 2016 and February 11, 2016 respectively.
