(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at approximately 12:10 am, County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 50 just west of County Road 125 in the Town of Erin.
Wellington County OPP officers responded along fire fighters from Town of Erin Fire Department and paramedics from Halton EMS.
Investigation revealed that a westbound Honda Civic left the roadway and entered the south ditch striking numerous trees and rolled over. The single occupant – a female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
West Region OPP Collision Reconstructionists attended the scene to assist in the investigation.
County Road 50 between County Road 125 and the First Line of Erin remains closed at this time.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and further details will be released as they come available.
