On August 3rd 2016 at approximately 12:15 p.m., a 29 year old female was walking on Park Street in Elmira when she was approached by a 61 year old male who engaged her in conversation. At the end of the conversation, the male hugged” the female and sexually assaulted her. Police located the male and he has been charged with sexual assault and held for a bail hearing.”
