The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a theft investigation last week.
On August 9, 2013, two 16-year-old Chatham youths reported that they had their bicycles stolen from the Downtown Chatham Centre on King Street West. The bikes were chained together to a bike rack outside the Good Life entrance and had a total value of about $850.
Through investigation, officers identified the man and woman responsible for the theft.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. last night, a 23-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A warrant has been issued for the 20-year-old Chatham man.
