The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance last weekend.
On November 29, 2014 around 4:45 a.m. the man and woman began arguing when it escalated into a physical altercation as he hit her in the face. The woman left the residence and police were called.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman had been assaulted on previous occasions.
Police attempted to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Around 6:30 a.m. this morning, the man turned himself in to police headquarters. The 27-year-old Chatham man has been charged with three counts of assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
